Bayview is a Genesis Land Development community in west Airdrie, the newest of the three canal communities in the West Airdrie district. Roughly six kilometres of canals and walking paths run through the Bayview and Bayside waterway network, and the community is centred on those winding canals and the pathways that follow them.

The housing is townhouses, bungalows and front-attached-garage homes, from builders including Genesis, Calbridge, McKee and Stepper, and a new kindergarten-to-Grade 9 school is expected to open in the area in fall 2028. For buyers, Bayview is the newest way into Airdrie's canal lifestyle — recent construction on the same waterway system as Bayside and Canals, on the west side of the city, with Genesis Place recreation centre a short drive away.
